What is Green Sand Casting?
Green sand casting is a specific type of sand casting. It utilizes a sand mold mixture composed of natural quartz sand, bentonite, coal dust, and water; notably, this mold is not subjected to drying casting is performed immediately upon its completion.
The molding sand used in green sand casting can be repeatedly recycled, resulting in lower production costs.

Green sand casting is compatible with a wide variety of materials, enabling the production of castings made from ordinary carbon cast steel, low-alloy cast steel, high-manganese wear-resistant steel, and medium-to-low-temperature heat-resistant steel.
What Types of Products Are Suitable for Green Sand Casting?
Green sand casting is well-suited for castings that are relatively heavy, possess a simple to moderately complex structure, and feature substantial wall thicknesses. Given its high production efficiency, this method is particularly ideal for castings that undergo continuous, large-scale batch production throughout the year.
Examples include: continuous casting machine components, mining crusher parts, heavy construction machinery components, various heavy industrial machinery parts, and cement and building material equipment


What factors should be considered when selecting a Green Sand Casting manufacturer?
1. Production Capability:
Determine the product's weight based on the technical drawings, and verify the manufacturer's maximum capacity for a single casting (e.g., 2 tons, 3 tons, 5 tons).
Alternatively, you can submit the drawings directly to the manufacturer; their technical staff will inform you during the quotation process whether they are capable of producing the item.
2. Provision of Material and Dimensional Reports:
Can the manufacturer provide reports regarding material composition and dimensional accuracy?
Material reports generated by spectral analysis equipment help prevent the use of substandard materials or shortcuts in production.
3. Provision of One-Stop Services:
Can the manufacturer offer a comprehensive, "one-stop" service?
If a one-stop service is not available, you will be required to coordinate the back-and-forth transfer of goods and manage communications across multiple parties-a process that is both time-consuming and labor-intensive.
4. Quality Control:
Assess the quality of the casting's surface finish. Does the manufacturer offer non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic flaw detection)? Can they provide material reports, dimensional reports, and similar documentation?
5. Certifications:
Possessing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications is an absolute advantage and a significant plus factor.
