Blow bars for HSI crushers are cast from high-chromium or high-manganese steel.

Driven by the rotors of the Horizontal Shaft Impact (HSI) crushers, the blow bars rotate at high speed and strike the material, causing it to shatter through repeated impacts between the blow bars and the impact liners until the particle size is small enough to pass through the gap and be discharged.

    In applications where materials often contain scrap steel, bolts, or rebar, high-manganese steel blow bars can withstand instantaneous impacts without fracturing.

Limestone can range from relatively soft to highly abrasive, depending on its composition and silica content.

For the secondary, tertiary, or fine crushing of pre-screened, clean, and consistently sized limestone, high-chromium HSI impact crusher blow bars are the preferred choice.
For HSI crushers processing limestone containing hard impurities, or for primary HSI crushers handling medium-to-low hardness limestone, manganese steel blow bars may be considered.

High-chromium blow bars are the preferred choice for general hard rock crushing.

However, they are prone to cracking when processing extremely hard material under high-impact loads.
In this case, dual-metal composite blow bars for HSI crushers should be considered.They use carbon steel or low-alloy steel backing to deliver sufficient toughness and structural support, while high-chromium iron forms the working face to deliver superior wear resistance.

Our Foundry Capability

Our foundry runs three production lines using lost foam casting, resin sand, and shell molding processes, with an on-site heat treatment facility.

We have an annual production capacity of 6,000 tons of castings, including blow bars for HSI crushers and other wear-resistant and heat-resistant components in various materials and specifications.

Our technical team is capable of designing casting molds and tooling.

We have also developed a dedicated CNC machining process for high-chromium cast iron blow bars. This allows us to overcome machining difficulties with ultra-hard castings and guarantee excellent dimensional accuracy.

Our factory is equipped with a comprehensive range of testing equipment for material analysis, mechanical property testing, hardness inspection, and non-destructive testing.
