Recently, a batch of cast aluminum Fuel Tank Vapor Valve bodies of Shata Machinery has completed the full-process production and been sent as a whole to the customer's factory in Europe.
Subsequently, the complete vapor valve assembly will be completed locally and officially supplied to the European fuel tank supply market.
Challenges
The valve bodies for this export are uniformly made of A356 aluminum alloy (equivalent EN AC42100), and undergoes T6 heat treatment to enhance its strength.
A complete set of mature and precise manufacturing processes have been implemented:
Gravity metal mold die casting → shot blasting →T6 solution heat treatment → five-axis precision CNC machining→ anodizing.
Given the critical sealing function for fuel systems, the products are subject to strict mandatory tests that bring significant production challenges:
- 100% hydrostatic pressure test at 0.6 MPa (87.02 PSI) for every single unit to eliminate leakage risks
- Zero porosity allowed on all critical sealing surfaces, as tiny casting defects will lead to sealing failure
Our engineering team optimized mold design and casting parameters to minimize internal defects, stabilizing the overall first-pass yield above 98%.
We also implemented two rounds of 100% visual inspection on sealing surfaces: 1st after CNC machining + 2nd after anodizing. Double full inspection ensures no defective items are delivered to clients.
Packaging Design
In view that aluminum castings are prone to bump damage during long-term ocean transportation, our experienced packaging team designed a dedicated protective packaging solution:
Wooden cases + wooden plates for layer separation + corrugated cardboard separators for row & column isolation.
All parts are fully separated without direct contact to avoid scratches and collisions.
All packaging materials are eco-friendly and recyclable.
The wooden crates are made of fumigation-free plywood complying with international phytosanitary standard ISPM 15 and EU Plant Health Regulation (EU) 2016/2031, which is exempt from extra fumigation treatment for smooth customs clearance, fully meeting EU packaging recycling requirements.
This shipment represents solid recognition of our precision aluminum casting capacity within the European tanker system sector.
