High chromium cast iron jaw plate is the most wear resistant. It has over 650HBW hardness, is the first choice for fine jaw crushers that deal with hard and high abrasive materials, such as granite, basalt.

While because of the low toughness of high Cr cast iron, it can't be used for high impact conditions.
