What are Forged Stainless Steel Clamps
Forged Stainless Steel Clamps are heavy-duty fastening connectors designed to clamp, secure, and fasten pipes or circular shafts tightly, it is manufactured via closed-die hot forging process using stainless steel billets.
This forging process compresses solid stainless steel into a dense, defect-free structure with continuous grain flow, eliminates common quality issues like air holes, cracks, and weakness in lower quality clamps.
Main function of the clamps include clamping, fixing, sealing and connecting pipes, pipe fittings and mechanical components.
Shata Machinery's forged stainless-steel clamps feature smooth surfaces, precise dimensions, and superior load-bearing capacity, provides our customers with confidence in sales and usage.

Classification of Forged Stainless Steel Clamps
No matter what type of clamps you are purchasing, send your drawings or samples to Shata Machinery, we can offer you high-end clamps at the best price.
Here are common types we are producing:
- Heavy-Duty Clamps
- C-Clamps / Forged C-Type
- Hose & Tube Clamps

...
Applications of Forged Stainless-Steel Clamps
With the advantages of high strength, high corrosion resistance and high precision, the upset forged stainless steel clamps are widely used in the core demand scenarios of heavy duty clamping or harsh environment, mainly including:
- High-pressure pipeline systems: oil, gas, fire-fighting pipelines
- Engineering machinery: fastening of excavators, cranes and other equipment
- Marine equipment: fixing of hull pipelines and deck components
- Petrochemical industry: connection of chemical pipelines and reaction equipment
- Outdoor municipal facilities: outdoor water and gas transmission pipelines
- High-frequency vibration equipment: vehicles, engines, compressors
- Other severe corrosive environments: such as coastal areas, humidity and acid-based conditions.

Premium Stainless Steel Grades for Forged Clamps
At Shata Machinery, we use food-grade and industrial-grade stainless steel to manufacture forged clamps, including:
- 304/304L
- 316/316L
- 201
- 310S
- 410

Do Stainless Steel Clamps Rust?
Indeed, stainless steel has excellent anti-rust performance. But it doesn't mean it 100% won't rust.
In some extreme conditions, such as surface damaged + exposed to extremely harsh chemicals/long-term immersed into saltwater or acidic liquids, rust will happen.
For 304 stainless steel clamps, it won't rust in most of the in indoor applications.
For 316 marine-grade stainless steel clamps, it works well in marine, offshore, and coastal environments.
Stainless steel clamps forged by Shata Machinery have dense and smooth surfaces that preserves the passive corrosion-resistant layer, far less prone to rust than other clamps.
Comparison of Clamps Manufactured by Different Processes
1. Fabricated (Sheet Metal / Machining)
Using material such as stainless steel plates or bars, formed by combination of cutting, press bending, stamping, welding, CNC machining, is a solid forming process.
Fabricated stainless steel clamps are suitable for flex and fast customization
2. Cast (Investment Casting)
Pouring molten stainless steel into mold to get the shaped clamps, it's a liquid-solid forming process.
Casting can produce complex structure clamps, its price is attractive, but may have air holes or porosities.
3. Forging
Heating stainless steel blank and press it to get clamp shape. It's a solid forming.
Forged stainless steel clamps have dense structure, fine grain, continuous flow lines, best strength and toughness, while it only can be used for simple clamps, due for process limitations.
