Centrifuge drum is a high-speed rotating metal part of centrifuge-an industrial equipment to separate different substances using centrifugal forces produced by high-speed rotation.
Types of Drum for Centrifuge

Centrifuge Drum: Why Use Centrifugal Casting Instead of Coil Welding?
- Centrifugal cast centrifuge drum is integral formed, compared with coil welding, it has no welding line, no need to worry about leakage and out of shape
- Casting, especially centrifugal casting, can bring the drum dense microstructure, which enhances the wear resistance and corrosion resistance performance
- Coil welding is just suitable for thinner wall thickness drums, thick thickness will be hard for manufacturing and lead high manufacturing costs; Centrifugal casting can produce drum with any thicker thickness, with high strength and high rotating speed
- Precise dimensions and high accuracy: with precision turning, casting drum has better dynamic balance, ensuring equipment with lower vibration during high-speed rotating
- Casting is friendly for materials that are hard for welding, such as duplex stainless steel, high alloy stainless steel
Prices for Centrifuge Drum
When inquiring about the price of centrifuge drum, buyers should pay attention to the following items to avoid subsequent disputes.
- Mold /Tooling /Pattern Cost: Centrifugal drum made to drawing requires mold, so buyer should pay this one-time cost. If there is no mold cost, please contact your supplier for further clarification.
- Casting Cost: This cost depends on the material, wall thickness, weight, size and production difficulty, it's the key price for the quotation
- Machining Cost: Machining cost varies according to precision requirements (tolerance, roundness, concentricity, surface roughness, etc.), machining areas, machining depth, and total machining time. Our machining engineer will create the program and calculate accuracy machining cost for each enquiry.
- Packaging Cost: Our export team will design the package (fumigation-free wooden cases are the most common use) according to the size, weight and transportation requirements of the centrifuge drum, and then get a packaging cost for customers. If you have any specific packing requirements, please tell us before our quotation, or the price may need to change and extend your inquiry time
- Shipping Cost: Our quotation includes trade terms: EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, etc. No shipping cost in case of EXW, while for other trading terms, we will provide a shipping cost. One important thing is, the shipping cost cannot be locked, it is just for reference, because the shipping cost is not stable. When goods are ready for shipment, we will provide customers with accurate shipping costs based on final package quantity, volume, and weight.
