310S Heat Resistant Steel Casting from Shata Machinery are high-end high-temperature castings made from 310S high-chromium-nickel austenitic heat-resistant steel using the lost foam casting process.

The material contains 24.0%-26.0% chromium and 19.0%-22.0% nickel, with a low carbon content and an inherent austenitic microstructure.

Lost foam casting produces castings with a fine microstructure, a smooth and aesthetically pleasing appearance, and high cost-effectiveness, making them widely used in high-temperature, wear-resistant, and heat-resistant applications.

What are the characteristics of 310S Heat Resistant Steel Castings?

  1.  Not prone to peeling or oxidation at high temperatures; good shock resistance; not prone to cracking under alternating hot and cold conditions.
  2.  High toughness due to its austenitic structure; high-temperature creep resistance; not easily deformed; good wear resistance; suitable for high-temperature dust erosion and particle abrasion conditions.
  3.  Low-carbon material; good weldability; localized welding repairs do not affect heat resistance and strength.

  1. Can be integrally cast: No parting, splicing, or welding required; can cast irregularly shaped parts integrally, resulting in stronger integrity.
  2.  High dimensional accuracy: Using foam models results in small dimensional errors, reducing subsequent machining and saving costs.
  3.  Uniform and dense internal structure, smooth surface: During pouring, foam vaporizes and replaces the molten metal, eliminating defects such as sand holes, slag inclusions, and porosity; the surface is burr-free.
  4. Stable dimensions and consistent batch quality: The foam models are basically the same, and the materials, dimensions and performance of castings in the same batch are stable, making them suitable for mass production of industrial furnace and kiln supporting castings
