Functions of Cast Stainless Steel Valve Body
Cast Stainless Steel Valve body is the main structure of the valve, with following key functions:
- As an outer shell of the valve, precisely positions the other parts which will be installed on it, such as vale stem, valve disc, valve seat, ensuring precise opening and closing of the valve.
- Sealing. Valve body is in direct contact with the flowing medium, it works together with other parts (gaskets, bonnets, pipes, etc.), keeps the valve good sealing performance even in high pressure or high temperature.
- As a fluid channel. The specific designed channels inside of the valve body can control volume, direction and distribution of liquid flow, and achieve functions such as connection, disconnection, throttling or diversion.
- Connection. Flanges on the valve body provides fix structure for vale and pipeline.
