What is Heat Resistant Cast Steel Pipe?

Heat resistant cast steel pipe is typically produced by centrifugal casting. The special material- heat resistant steel, can ensure good and continuous operation in high temperature environments ranging from 600℃~1400℃.

Heat Resistant Cast Steel Pipe1

Heat resistant cast steel pipes play a crucial role in boiler, furnace, heat exchangers, steam lines, kilns.
As a professional centrifugal casting factory, Shata Machinery has been providing heat resistant cast steel pipes for many years, and has delivered hundreds of non-standard heat-resistant steel pipes for customers from USA, Canada, European, Australia…

Relationship Among Heat Resistant Steel, Incoloy Alloy and Inconel Alloy

Incoloy Alloy and Inconel Alloy are registered trademarks of Special Metals Corporation. They are both in scope of heat resistant steel.

Incoloy Alloy is a Nickel-Iron-Chromium-based alloy, it is also a super austenitic stainless steel. Incoloy alloy has good high-temperature strength, creep resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance in medium-high temperature (600℃~1000℃).

Inconel Alloy is a type of Nickel-Chromium-based superalloy, including 60%~75% nickel and lower iron content. Inconel Alloy has excellent high-temperature performance, can ensure high strength, creep resistance and oxidation resistance in extremely high temperatures 1000℃~1200℃, it has excellent corrosion resistance as well.

What are Steel and Cast Iron Pipes Cast By?

Centrifugal Casting is the best manufacturing process for cast steel pipes and cast iron pipes. It's a forming process that pours molten metal into a high-speed rotating mold, under centrifugal forces, molten metal fills the mold, finally get the castings after solidification and cooling.

Compared with other casting processes, such as sand casting or permanent mold casting, centrifugal castings have better dense structure, higher mechanical properties, lower cost for hollow structure parts (no need core for casting), and higher material utilization rate around 80%~90% (no need casting gate and risers).

Centrifugal casting is ideal for parts with rotating characteristics, such as pipes, tubes, cylinders, bushings, sleeves, bushings, rings, disks, and rollers.
