Our Forming Process for Brass Water Meter Body
We adopt outer metal mold gravity casting + inner coated sand cores to cope with production challenges of brass water meter body:
- Irregular curved surfaces in the inner cavity
- Long and narrow water flow channels with varying depths
- High precision requirements for sealing steps at both ends and in the middle section
All external and assembly structures are gravity cast by high-precision, ultra-smooth metal molds. This process ensures the castings feature flat and dense outer walls, minimal and controllable parting lines, stable dimensional tolerances and excellent part interchangeability.
Meanwhile, the internal functional structures are integrally formed using high-precision, high-hardness, fine-grain coated sand cores. The internal cavity achieves an extremely small dimensional error (minimum up to ±0.15mm) and superior surface finish (Ra 12.5 μm).
Brass water meter body produced via our composite process fully guarantees excellent appearance, precise dimensional accuracy, stable water flow performance, accurate metering performance and reliable pressure tightness, delivering high-stability, high-durability premium castings for customers.
