Spheroidal Graphite Cast Iron (EN-GJS), commonly shortened as ductile iron, is a high-performance cast iron where graphite exists in tiny spherical shapes inside the metal matrix, instead of flaky graphite in ordinary gray cast iron.
Thanks for spherical graphite structure, Spheroidal Graphite Cast Iron pump parts can withstand high hydraulic pressure, slurry abrasion and temperature fluctuation without cracking or leaking, becoming the mainstream material for industrial, municipal and hydraulic pumps.
