The mainstream design features a saddle-type split structure, consisting of two symmetrical brass halves that form a circular clamping cavity when closed and are locked by side bolts. Select models include a mounting base.

1. Pattern making. Wooden or aluminum patterns are created based on customer-supplied drawings, manufactured to meet the required specifications for the heavy duty brass cable clip casting.

 

2. Sand mixing and molding. Raw sand and clay are mixed with water in proportion to produce green sand. The pattern is placed into a sand box, filled and compacted with sand, then removed to leave a sand cavity that precisely replicates the shape of the cable clip.

 

3. Brass melting. Raw materials are proportioned according to the customer-specified grade (such as H59, H62, HPb59-1, etc.) and melted in an electric or coke furnace to remove gases and impurities, ensuring a clean molten metal.

 

4. Pouring. The molten brass is poured into the sand cavity through the gating system, with pouring temperature and speed carefully controlled to prevent cracking at thin-walled sections due to rapid cooling.

 

5. Shakeout and cooling. Once the casting has fully solidified, the sand mold is broken away and the rough brass cable clip is removed.

 

6. Cleaning and secondary processing. The gating system is cut away, and any flash or burrs are removed using a grinding wheel or polishing tool. Simple machining operations-such as drilling and tapping on mating surfaces like clamping faces and bolt holes-are performed to ensure accurate installation dimensions.

 

7. Quality inspection and surface treatment. Spectral analysis of material composition, hardness testing, and dimensional inspection are carried out according to customer requirements. Surface treatments such as passivation, polishing, and nickel plating are applied as pre-delivery finishing as specified.
